I'll be watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the first time ever thanks to the season 16 trip to Ghana — Bozoma Saint John's wedding just changed the game

A Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and TechRadar collaboration?

<![CDATA[ <article> <p>A<em> Real Housewives of Beverly Hills</em> and <a href="https://www.techradar.com/uk">TechRadar </a>collaboration? I never saw it happening either, but I cannot avoid — nor stop thinking about — the already-viral social media clips coming out of Bozoma Saint John's Ghanian wedding.</p><p>The marketing guru, who joined the <em>RHOBH </em>cast full-time back in season 14, has made her wedding to Keely Watson into a cross-continent affair, with dual ceremonies taking place in Ghana (August 21) and Los Angeles (November). </p><p>Logically, you'd think that if other cast members were invited, they'd be attending the LA ceremony (though as of writing, the LA wedding guestlist has yet to be revealed). But Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Kathy Hilton, Jennifer Tilly, and Sutton Stracke all made the trip abroad.</p><p>To state the obvious, this means part of <em>RHOBH </em>season 16 will now take place in Ghana, with a camera crew spotted with the cast both before and during the ceremony. Unsurprisingly, the reality TV side of <a href="https://www.techradar.com/uk/computing/internet/social-media/instagram">Instagram </a>and <a href="https://www.techradar.com/uk/computing/internet/social-media/tiktok">TikTok </a>have been enthralled by the updates. </p><p>Notably, they're becoming something even bigger after a matter of days. After all... how did the clips find me, a <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/the-best-reality-tv-show-box-sets-to-binge-on-right-now">reality TV</a> ignoramus who's never seen the most famous <em>Real Housewives</em> iteration of the lot?</p><p>Even from the outside looking in, I can tell that the significance of Saint John's wedding being streamed on Bravo goes far beyond social media curated shock. Jennifer living her best life on the dance floor.<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@milliondollarlady6/video/7677406306071743775" target="_blank"> Kyle making sure that Dorit is included</a>, which in itself feels watching the Treaty of Versailles being written.</p><p>Even though I <a href="https://www.techradar.com/computing/software/shazam-now-makes-it-super-easy-to-add-identified-songs-to-a-spotify-or-apple-music-playlist-heres-how-it-works">Shazam</a>'ed the song being played in the background (it's <em>Unfiltered Vibe Mix</em> by DJ Talented, by the way), what's really stayed with me is what's happening when the cameras are put down. </p><p>Look across the wedding crowd and you'll see a diverse mix of people, dress and cultures. Our <em>RHOBH </em>girls are adorned in (frankly, stunning) modern Kente dresses, and it's clear from the clips that they're completely embracing everything that Ghana has to throw at them — the only drama is between themselves, not with what's around them. </p><p>Read the comments and you'll see Black fans both in a state of pleasant shock and equally as embracing of the Real Housewives' latest adventure. You'll see others say that this will be exceptionally good news for Ghana's tourism and representation... and therein lies what matters the most.</p><p><em>RHOBH </em>is the summit of reality TV Mount Everest. In the Western world at least, there is no bigger platform in the genre, and soon, in season 16 — likely towards the beginning of 2027, though nothing is confirmed — a Ghanian wedding is going to be center stage. </p><p>I imagine that this is exactly what you dream of when you don't see your home country represented (well, or at all) on TV: a homecoming that's so glorious, all the best parts of the culture are blooming in full. And this is all before taking into account just how impressive and remarkable Saint Johns is herself.</p><p>I really hope that this does what fans want it to, rather than devolve into menial arguments and petty drama that we already have far too much of as it is. If the Kyle-Dorit dancefloor reconciliation is anything to go by, the spirit of Ghana truly is something magical.</p> </article> ]]>
