But now, finally, we have more to go on.

Over on Reddit (which is where all the Beats noise has been happening), a thread has emerged thanks to some users finding early listing pages for the new headphones on Amazon and certain other retailers. Pictures and descriptions are being shared which reveal loads about the new cans.

The headline news is that we know the (likely) name: Beats 360. In the audio world, the name '360' is usually used to refer to spatial audio (as in Sony 360 Reality Audio, for example), pointing to a potential selling point for these new cans.

Image-wise, these match what we saw on Lamine Yamal and Lee Kang-in during the soccer tournament, even down to the Shrek-colored lime green option the latter was seen with.

If you haven't seen them, the headphones look to have a thin headband with a soft pad, and circular cups with a protective material. They're a far cry from the generic headphone look many other companies go for, and look like more svelte versions of the AirPods Max 2.

However, that comparison may not go as far as you'd hope...

Listings tell us what's missing

Many Redditors have noticed that the Beats 360 listing makes no mention of Apple's H2 chip, which many were hoping would show up in the headphones. This offers advanced ANC, battery life efficiency and top-tier DSP capabilities.

The listings suggest that the Beats 360 have "1.75x more noise cancellation than Beats Studio Pro", but it's not quite clear what that actually means, since ANC can't be quantified that cleanly. Is that a better handling of loud sounds? Or an improved capability with low, consistent rumbles? Or, perhaps, a meaningless number?

The Beats 360 apparently have interchangeable cup cushions and headband pads, so you can swap colors or, perhaps, materials (though the latter is speculation). Beats calls these its first cans designed to survive sweat and water, with an IPX4 rating.

Also in the listings, an "all-day battery life" is mentioned, even when you're listening with ANC. However, brands use "all-day" to refer to a wide range of figures (some count the working day, others a literal 24-hour day), so this doesn't give us much to go on.

Many of the listings share a price, which looks to be around $299 / £330 (there's no Aussie listings, but that converts to around AU$700). Take these with a grain of salt, though. In early listings, we often see placeholder prices listed before the actual ones are confirmed.

These listing sites give us a huge look at the Beats 360, even more than we'd seen from World Cup glimpses. And the fact that these pages are live suggests that the new headphones might be along before too long, defying the aforementioned speculation about a 2027 release.
